Texas 8.5

Power adder

* Limit on 2 stages
* Limit one #6 an nitrous line
* Limit two nitrous bottles teed at bottles to #6 an line
* Single type power adder only
* Gasoline only (except roots type blower on alcohol)

Chassis and Body

* Any type suspension allowed
* Fiberglass hood, bumpers, front clip, doors, and deck lid allowed
* Door cars only
* Lexan OK
* Weight must be bolted or permanently mounted
* Full square tube chassis allowed
* Wheelie bars allowed
* Max weight of 3450 lbs.
* Min. of 50% of total weight on front

Tires

* Max rear sick 26 x 8.5 designations (9” as measured)
* Commercially available tires only no test tires

Transmission

* OEM style transmission only

Ultimate Street Rules 2010   2/9/2010

Chassis

·         Stock Front frame rails (must be in stock location).

·         Aftermarket control arms and bushings allowed as long as they bolt in stock locations.

·         Rack and Pinion steering allowed.

·         Aftermarket strut is allowed but must follow the following guidelines:
            Full on race strut prohibited ( ie. Lamb or equivalent type )
            Bolt in stock location with the exception of aftermarket K-Member
            Strut must be comparable to QA1 or Strange style (adjustable)
            Struts that changes caster and camber are prohibited

·         Aftermarket coil over shocks allowed.

·         ALL replacement parts must be in stock location.

·         K-Members allowed (late model Mustangs, Camaros and Firebirds).

·         K-Members must feature stock attachment locations.

·         No part of the K-Member may be permanently attached to the chassis.

·         No rear frame rail mods past  the rear door jamb.  Back-half cars allowed square tube, pre-fabbed frame rails only, 2 x 2 or 2 x 3 frame rail. Must be connected behind rear of door jamb. No total full length frame rails to front floor board. Stock floor in place under frt seats and forward.

·         Cars with stock location frame rails allowed notching for tire clearance                                                  No round tube back-half/chassis cars allowed.

·        Mini tubs allowed.

·         Any rear suspension allowed, 4-links, ladder bars, etc. Back-half/narrowed rear frame cars limited to ladder bar & stock style suspension only.

·         Motor Plate and Mid Plate allowed.

·         Motor must be in stock location.

·         No traction compound spraying devices allowed.
 

 Body

·         Firewall must be in stock location, minor modifications for trans, etc is OK.

·         Floor pan may be patched or repaired with welded in factory replacement panels.  May be altered for thru the floor sub-frame connectors, etc.

·         No body alterations.

·         Factory headlights and taillights.

·         Fiberglass ok.  No one piece fiberglass front ends.  Fiberglass replacement parts must look factory.

·         Forward facing hood scoops limited to 6" tall.

·         Drilling/cutting holes in hood for air inlet prohibited.

·         No Pro Mod style wings.  Max Wing 15" from leading edge.

·         Lexan allowed.

Interior

·         Two Front seats, turbo/supercharger cars may remove passenger seat for  plumbing. Nitrous cars may remove passenger seat if bottles mounted in area.

·         Driver Seat must be mounted in front of Door Jamb

·         Carpeted interior

·         Door panels (aluminum door panels allowed)

·         Stock Dash (aftermarket gauges allowed)

Tires

·         10.9 Tread width max, NO W's. Hoosier part # 18192D05 will not be allowed.

·         12.5 sidewall designation DOT Tires max not to exceed 10.9 inches of tread

·         Max P295/65R15 drag radial. 10.9 Tread width max


Power Adders

·         Only ONE type power adder allowed

·         Timers and controllers are allowed.

·         Progressive nitrous controllers and data recorders allowed.

·         Conventional headed small blocks allowed two stages nitrous systems.

·        Big blocks limited to one single stage nitrous system.

·         Single stage fogger max 4 solenoids allowed.

·        Single stage plate is allowed 1 nitrous solenoid -1 entry point and 1 fuel solenoid 1 entry point allowed. 

·         Sm blk 2 stage entries may run any combination of 2 stages.

·         Additional nitrous systems must be capped off at the solenoids.

·         Dual stage, single nozzle foggers are not allowed.

·         Push systems prohibited.

·         Maximum nitrous supply line from bottles to solenoid is a single #6 line.  Multiple nitrous bottles must be "Y" together at the bottles and a single #6 line from the "Y" to solenoids.

·        Single Turbo/supercharger allowed on small block only.

·        106mm max compressor wheel.

·        Any intercooler allowed.

·        Billet compressor wheels OK

·        Max 91mm turbo inlet.

Transmission

·         Automatic or factory equipped manual.

·         NO Brunos, Lencos etc.


Engines

·         NO Sheet metal Intakes

·         Must use mass produced cast aluminum intakes (no tunnel rams)

·         Single Carburetors only

·         EFI max 90 MM throttle body. 1250 CFM max 

·         All cars must run gasoline (no alcohol or methanol)

·         Dry Sumps Not allowed

·         All big block engines limited to 10.2" deck height.

Heads

·         Billet or custom fabricated heads prohibited.

·         Internal port areas of cylinder heads may be welded or epoxied for repairing, but heads must maintain standard "as produced" valve/port layout design, valve cant, and valve spacing. (no substituting canted valve for inline head, etc.)

·         Big Block cylinder heads must be conventional style and retain 24* style port/valve configurations.      BBC 18* heads not allowed.

·         Small Block cylinder heads must be conventional style with a minimum 15 degree valve angle .

·         All valve angles will be + or - 1 deg.

·         No Big Chief style heads.

·         Porting allowed.

·         Sm blk canted valve, 18*, 15* & LS1 style heads will be allowed  (see weight breaks).

Exhaust

·         Mufflers Required.

·         No Insert or Collector mufflers.

Weight Breaks

                           Small block (2 N2O kits)

·         N2O TRUE 23* headed SBC or 20* SBF - 2800 lbs

        • 15* Ford, 18* Chev heads & LS1 - 3000 lbs
        • Canted valve heads - 3100 lbs
        • One stage N20 – deduct 100 lbs
        • Over 450" will be considered a big block

 

TURB0 (sm blk only)

·         380 – 450 max cid  - 3200 lbs

·         Under 380 cid  - 3100 lbs

·         Supercharged  F2 or equivalent  - 3250 lbs

·         Weight breaks may be modified/adjusted

Addition to the rules, let’s give the v6 a chance, adjustments can always be made in the future. There were a few guys that were V6 in the emails.

 Turbo rules,

  TURB0 (Small Block only) V6

.        380 - 450 max cid  - 3200 lbs

.        Under 380 cid  - 3100 lbs

          V6 cid - 3000 lbs. 

.        Supercharged  F2 or equivalent  - 3250 lbs

Big Block (1 N20 kit only)

·        Up  to 550" - 3200 lbs                       

·        550" - 605" –3300 lbs                      

·        606" - 640  - 3400 lbs

.400 Pro Tree. Courtesy staging enforced. Deep staging not allowed. 

If you run TTT5 in Dallas, you may run your car at the legal weight for that class but you must show proof that you are a member to Tech


ALL DRIVERS, PIT CREW AND FAMILY MEMBERS WILL BE EXPECTED TO ACT IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER. IT IS THE DRIVERS RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT ALL PIT CREW MEMBERS AS WELL AS FAMILY MEMBERS ADHERE TO THIS RULE, ANY VIOLATION WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION AND LOSS OF ENTRY FEES, IF DEEMED SERIOUS ENOUGH OR IT BECOMES A PROBLEM AT LATER RACES IT IS UP TO THE DISCRETION OF THE RACE OFFICIALS TO BAN THE INDIVIDUAL FROM FUTURE RACES.
